About the event
Join Beth for a 4-hour introduction to goldwork hand embroidery, where you’ll learn the timeless art of this 1,000 year-old technique to create a stunning floral design. Perfect for all skill levels, your finished piece can be transformed into a brooch, framed as art, or given as a thoughtful handmade gift.
Under the expert guidance of Beth, a graduate of the Royal School of Needlework, you’ll use traditional materials like pearl purl, smooth purl, and rough purl to craft a beautifully detailed goldwork flower—based on a design from Beth’s embroidered book collection.
This rewarding and relaxing workshop includes plenty of time for breaks and hands-on support, ensuring you leave with a beautiful finished piece and a new appreciation for this shimmering embroidery style.
