About the event
In this two-day workshop, students will make a handmade notebook with a custom embroidered cover. The design features a single goldwork flower stitched inside a diamond shape. Participants will be guided through the key techniques of goldwork embroidery, and achieve a clean, professional finished book.
The project is inspired by Beth’s collection of floral diamond notebooks, which focuses on simple, stylised motifs combined with detailed goldwork surfaces. Along the way, students will build confidence in stitching, design placement, and basic bookbinding.
By the end of the workshop, each student will have a finished notebook and a solid introduction to goldwork techniques they can continue to develop in their own work.
